Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Clerk (Customer-Facing)
Location: Richmond, VA
Employment Type: Full-Time, Monday - Friday 7am - 3:45pm
Compensation: $18/hr
About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on, customer-focused Shipping & Receiving Clerk who thrives in a dynamic environment where warehouse operations meet direct customer interaction. This role goes beyond the backroom — you’ll be the friendly face assisting walk-ins, coordinating pickups, and ensuring small group orders are packaged with care and precision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments
- Pick and pack orders accurately for both individual and group fulfillment
- Assist walk-in customers and coordinate order pickups with professionalism and warmth
- Maintain inventory records and ensure proper labeling and documentation
- Prepare packages for shipment using appropriate materials and methods
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate order processing
- Keep the shipping/receiving area clean, organized, and customer-ready
What We’re Looking For:
- Prior experience in shipping/receiving, preferably in a customer-facing role
- Familiarity with the full order lifecycle — from picking and packing to handoff
- Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset
- Attention to detail and comfort with basic inventory systems or software
