Industrial Design Engineer — Electro-Mechanical Systems | Yali Aerospace

📍 Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu

Yali Aerospace is hiring an Industrial Design Engineer to work on advanced autonomous ground-support systems involving precision motion mechanisms, smart enclosures, and electro-mechanical integration for next-generation UAV operations.

We are looking for someone who enjoys building intelligent mechanical systems with moving assemblies, automation-driven interactions, and functional industrial design.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop electro-mechanical systems with movable mechanisms and automated actuation
Create industrial design concepts, 3D models, detailed assemblies, and manufacturing drawings
Work on motion-based components including hinged systems, actuated arms, sliding/rotating mechanisms, and protective enclosures
Collaborate with electronics, embedded, and product teams for system integration
Optimize designs for durability, manufacturability, environmental protection, and field operations
Support prototyping, testing, validation, and iterative product improvements
Coordinate with fabrication and manufacturing teams during product development

Requirements

Experience in Industrial Design / Mechanical Product Design
Proficiency in SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar CAD tools
Strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems and moving assemblies
Knowledge of sheet metal, fabrication, mechanism design, and manufacturing processes
Experience in robotics, automation systems, aerospace, or smart hardware products is a plus
Creative problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail
Immediate joiners preferred
