We are looking for an experienced Accountant with expertise in nonprofit financial operations to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia. - Oversee payroll processing, including verifying timesheets and ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
- Perform bank reconciliations by analyzing reports and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Utilize accounting software to maintain and update financial data in a precise and organized manner.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and practices.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and maintaining accurate documentation for audits and reviews.
- Monitor and address discrepancies in financial data, ensuring accuracy across all accounts.
- Provide support for month-end and year-end closing processes, adhering to deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
