Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

A highly respected multi-specialty hospital in Mumbai, Maharashtra , is seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to join their dedicated pediatric department. This role involves providing comprehensive healthcare services to infants, children, and adolescents. You will work closely with pediatricians and other healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat a wide range of pediatric illnesses, manage chronic conditions, and provide preventative care and health education to families. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in pediatric nursing, a strong clinical background, and excellent communication skills to effectively interact with young patients and their guardians. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough physical examinations and health histories on pediatric patients. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pediatric illnesses. Prescribe medications, order diagnostic tests (labs, imaging), and interpret results. Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans. Provide education and counseling to children and their families on health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment adherence. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Collaborate with pediatricians, specialists, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care. Perform routine well-child check-ups and immunizations. Maintain accurate and timely patient records in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the advancement of pediatric care. Qualifications: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a specialization in Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program from an accredited institution. Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Maharashtra. Board certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) is required. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, with a strong clinical background in pediatric primary care or a relevant specialty. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Excellent diagnostic, clinical reasoning, and decision-making skills. Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient advocacy skills.
