Process Safety Engineer - Oil & Gas

Our client, a leading energy corporation, is seeking a highly qualified and safety-focused Process Safety Engineer to join their operations in Nagpur, Maharashtra, IN . This critical role is dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of safety in all operational processes within the oil and gas sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong engineering background, a deep understanding of process safety management (PSM) principles, and a proven ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks. Responsibilities include developing and implementing robust safety procedures, conducting hazard identification and risk assessments (HIRA), and leading investigations into process safety incidents. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standards, as well as developing and delivering safety training programs for operational personnel. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organization. This position requires excellent analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with engineering, operations, and management teams. Experience with process hazard analysis (PHA) techniques such as HAZOP and LOPA is essential.
