Job Description

The Banking Relationship Officer role is an all encompassing position responsible for delivering a best in class customer experience, providing sales and service solutions, and handling teller transactions. This role builds strong customer relationships by clearly communicating the benefits of Atlantic Union Bank products and services.

Position Accountabilities:

• Build strong customer relationships and improve customer experience.
• Stay updated on bank products and services.
• Use digital banking tools for service and sales.
• Drive sales through calls, referrals, and appointments.
• Grow new and existing customer relationships.
• Meet sales and branch targets.
• Support branch growth and customer retention.
• Work with internal banking teams for customer needs.
• Assist with loans, deposits, and service issues.
• Handle teller duties and cash transactions accurately.
• Follow banking rules and compliance policies.
• Complete training and assigned tasks.

Organizational Relationship:

Reports to the branch leader as assigned.

Educational and Experiential Requirements:

• NMLS registration required or ability to obtain
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
• Minimum 1 year banking or financial services experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year sales and customer relationship experience preferred
• Cash handling experience preferred
• Teller experience preferred
• Strong customer service experience required
• Lending experience preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong communication and problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Strong business judgment and decision making ability
• Proficiency with computers and digital banking platforms
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail
• Adaptability and resilience in changing environments

Schedule may vary based on business needs. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds. Compensation is based on experience, education, and certifications and may include bonuses or profit sharing.
