About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Software QA Engineer to lead the planning, design, and execution of testing strategies to ensure high-quality software delivery. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, validate product quality against requirements, and mentor junior QA engineers while driving best practices in testing and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop test plans, test cases, scenarios, and scripts
- Execute manual and automated testing to ensure product quality and functionality
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to resolve issues
- Participate in product design reviews and provide input on requirements and potential risks
- Conduct compatibility testing across systems, environments, and platforms
- Monitor bug resolution and ensure timely closure
- Maintain documentation for test procedures and defect databases
- Set up and manage test environments, including production-like scenarios
- Analyze system performance and ensure smooth, error-free operation
- Provide usability and functionality feedback to development teams
- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft testing tools and environments
- Strong experience in testing Microsoft-centric applications (.NET framework, C#, SQL Server)
- Proficiency in tools like Visual Studio and Test Manager
- Experience with Agile/Kanban development methodologies
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps
- Strong understanding of QA processes, methodologies, and best practices
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Nice-to-Have Skills
- 4–5 years of QA experience with automation tools and frameworks
- Experience with large enterprise or e-business systems
- Experience in performance and security testing
- Ability to create detailed and structured test plans from requirements
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
- Creative and critical thinking approach to identifying defects
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies
