About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Full Stack Engineer to join their growing product engineering team and help build scalable, high-performance systems for a leading property management SaaS platform. This is a backend-heavy full-stack role where you will take complete ownership of features from database design and API development to frontend implementation and production deployment. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced product environment and be comfortable working across the entire technology stack while building solutions that directly impact thousands of customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain production-grade backend systems using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Build and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas, queries, and data models.
- Develop scalable REST APIs consumed by web and mobile applications.
- Design and maintain payment infrastructure including webhook processing, reconciliation, payout flows, and idempotent transaction handling.
- Build and manage asynchronous job pipelines, queues, notifications, and scheduled workflows.
- Implement multi-tenant SaaS architectures ensuring data isolation and scalability.
- Develop and ship user-facing web applications using Next.js.
- Monitor, profile, and optimize application performance and database queries.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while ensuring system reliability.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and design teams to deliver high-quality product features.
Required Skills
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience building production backend systems using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Strong expertise in PostgreSQL, SQL optimization, query profiling, and database design.
- Experience building and maintaining scalable REST APIs.
- Strong understanding of backend architecture and distributed systems concepts.
- Experience handling asynchronous workflows, queues, retries, race conditions, and idempotency.
- Ability to own features end-to-end from requirement gathering to production deployment.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Experience working in product-based or SaaS environments.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with payment systems, UPI integrations, payment gateways, reconciliation, and settlement workflows.
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS platforms and data isolation strategies.
- Hands-on experience with Redis, BullMQ, or similar queueing infrastructure.
- Familiarity with observability, monitoring, structured logging, and performance instrumentation.
- Experience using AI-powered developer tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or GitHub MCP.
- Exposure to B2B SaaS products and India-focused technology platforms.
- Working knowledge of Next.js and modern frontend development practices.
