Job Description

An Automotive Retail HR Manager manages the full employee lifecycle for dealerships, focusing on high-volume recruitment for sales/service staff, onboarding, compliance, and performance management to reduce turnover. Key duties include payroll coordination, training, and resolving employee grievances in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Staffing: Source and hire sales consultants, service technicians, and administrative staff, managing high turnover and seasonal hiring needs.
  • Onboarding & Training: Conduct orientation and coordinate training programs to ensure staff understand product lines and service standards.
  • Employee Relations: Manage employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
  • Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Oversee payroll processing, commission structures, and benefits administration.
  • Performance Management: Set KPIs and conduct performance reviews for dealership staff.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 3-5+ years in HR, with specific experience in automotive, retail, or fast-paced environments preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Skills: Proficiency in HRIS software, strong communication, conflict resolution, and knowledge of employment laws.
