DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, execute, and manage multimedia communications across social media platforms, with occasional integration into press releases, web content, and other media.
- Research and recommend innovative social media strategies, channels, and emerging technologies to enhance outreach and engagement.
- Identify key stakeholders and influencers in the global security community and strategize collaboration opportunities.
- Attend OSAC events to capture and edit media (videos, photos, interviews) and create corresponding graphics.
- Post approved promotional, recap, and informational content across OSAC social media channels.
- Monitor audience engagement, respond to comments appropriately, and foster meaningful interactions.
- Track significant historical events and develop related content for social media.
- Analyze social media metrics, identify trends in engagement, and provide regular performance reports with recommendations for improvement.
- Perform additional duties as required to support OSAC’s communications goals.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- Must be a U.S. citizen with a valid U.S. passport and able to obtain/maintain a minimum SECRET security clearance.
- Demonstrate expertise in leveraging social media platforms to engage audiences and optimize content for various channels.
- Proven ability to analyze social media metrics and use data to assess and improve strategies.
- Exhibit strong proficiency in English, including exceptional writing, editing, and graphic design skills.
- Possess excellent organizational, time-management, and interpersonal skills, working effectively as both an independent contributor and team member in dynamic settings.
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel.
- Proficiency in: Adobe Creative Cloud: Express and Acrobat required; Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere strongly preferred. Social Media Platforms & Tools: LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), Hootsuite, and analytics tools like Google Analytics.
- Ability to design infographics and other visual assets for digital and print platforms.
- Familiarity with WordPress, Canva, and SurveyMonkey preferred.
