In partnership with a leading non-profit in the education sector, Catalytic Corps is hiring for the role of Outreach & Communications Specialist - Andhra Pradesh
- ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an Outreach and Communications Specialist to promote organisational best practices,
develop Information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaigns, drive communication objectives and
events related to the project, and manage strategic communications, knowledge documentation, and
dissemination.
- Programme Execution & Knowledge Documentation
- Document best practices through video documentaries, case studies, and print materials for national
and international dissemination.
- Design IEC campaigns — such as career and livelihood guidance campaigns — aligned with government
schemes to enhance enrolments for open schooling.
- Organise key project events: conferences, seminars, roundtable discussions, knowledge exchange
forums, special training programmes, and field visits by senior officials.
- Prepare all documentation required for events; provide event management and logistics support.
- Support annual workshops at the state level to share best practices, innovations, and prospective plans.
- Support in preparing communication and outreach plans, press briefs, and social media posts for
project activities and results.
- Government Linkage
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with government agencies at the state level.
- Represent the organisation in government meetings, workshops, and initiatives.
- Work closely with government officials to align programme objectives with state educational policies
and priorities.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with educational institutions and local organisations to strengthen programme outreach.
- Build partnerships and alliances to enhance the programme's impact and sustainability.
Monitoring and Reporting
- Establish M&E mechanisms to track programme progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting achievements,
challenges, and recommendations.
Social Media Management
- Develop and execute media strategies to enhance the government department's online presence.
- Create and curate content for various social media platforms.
- Monitor and analyse social media metrics to measure campaign effectiveness.
- Design and run campaigns for various departmental needs — promotions, awareness, and beyond.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Post-Graduate or equivalent in Management, Marketing, Media and Communication, or a related
discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in PR, communication, or media management.
- Experience in content creation and management of external communications; experience developing
Information, Education & Communication (IEC) campaigns preferred — social sector background highly
valued.
KEY ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS
- Experience working on projects involving the design and implementation of communications strategies,
including the use of social media at various levels.
- Significant experience in making policy recommendations and driving policy reforms.
- Experience organizing knowledge-sharing sessions and documenting knowledge for wider sharing
- Experience visualizing data/outcome dashboards to support project monitoring and data-section
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Presentation skills, Case studies
- Report and Writing Skills
- Ability to write and present clearly and persuasively in Hindi and English.
- Telugu proficiency is mandatory
- Understanding of computers, internet and social media is imperative.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time at the State/district level in program geographies
