About The Role As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Micromart, you will play a critical role in shaping the primary product interfaces used by entrepreneurs to manage their retail operations. Your work will span across various platforms including the web-based operator platform, in-store POS systems built with React Native, mobile applications, customer touchpoints, and internal tools that support operational workflows.

You will collaborate closely with product managers and backend engineers to design and develop intuitive, reliable, and scalable frontend features. Your focus will be on creating complex operational tools that are simple, fast, and trustworthy, ensuring they meet the needs of real-world retail environments. You will own frontend features end-to-end—from implementation to deployment and iteration—while continuously improving architecture, performance, and maintainability.

Your expertise will help build data-rich, real-time frontend experiences that support operational decision-making and in-store activities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on impactful products that directly support entrepreneurs and enhance customer experiences across thousands of retail locations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience building and owning production-grade frontend applications
  • Strong fundamentals in frontend architecture, state management, and API integration
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, React Native, and TypeScript
  • Ability to debug complex frontend issues, including performance, memory leaks, and production bugs
  • Experience developing complex React-based products, including dashboards or operational interfaces
  • Comfort working with real production data and complex workflows
  • Strong product instincts with an eye for UX details
  • Bias toward simplicity, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work effectively within a small, fast-paced team

Nice To Have

  • Experience with data-heavy or real-time applications
  • Experience building mobile applications
  • Familiarity with tools such as TanStack / React Query, MUI, or similar
  • Experience with design systems or frontend platform work
  • Knowledge of frontend test automation tools like Cypress
  • Background working on operational workflows that support real-world processes
  • Prior experience in startups or small teams emphasizing ownership and impact
