Utility Laborer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Utility Man to join our 2nd shift team at our Baltimore, MD de-tinnining and scrap yard. The ideal candidate will have expertise in operating a variety of heavy equipment, including Front-End Loaders, Hydraulic Material Handlers, Forklifts, Cranes, track mobile in order to accomplish various material handling assignments.

Responsibilities

• Load and Unload trucks using a crane or hydraulic material handler
• Load and unload trucks using a forklift
• Load and unload trucks using a front end loader
• Perform inventory stockpiling of product out bound to customers specifications.
• Keep areas clean and store supplies and materials in designated areas.

Requirements

• Basic math, reading and writing skills in order to comprehend customer specifications.
• Ability to handle equipment, machinery and tools safely and sensibly.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to maintain single-task focus and situational awareness.
• Must be able to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, lift for extended periods of time and various weather conditions
• Ability to perform above duties with or without reasonable accommodations.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid state motor vehicle operator's license.
• Satisfactorily pass forklift driving, crane operating training programs and demonstrate safe handling of the equipment in an on-site test.
