Visual Merchandiser - Retail Display Specialist

As a Visual Merchandiser for our client's vibrant retail team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, your role will be essential in creating captivating in-store displays that enhance the customer shopping experience and drive sales. You will design, implement, and maintain visually appealing store layouts, window displays, and product arrangements that align with brand aesthetics and marketing campaigns. Responsibilities

• Develop and execute visual merchandising strategies for store interiors and window displays.
• Create eye-catching product displays highlighting new arrivals and promotional items.
• Ensure brand consistency across all visual elements in the store.
• Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to align visual merchandising with current campaigns and promotions.
• Plan and implement seasonal display changes and store refreshes.
• Manage inventory of visual merchandising props and materials.
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
• Train store staff on visual merchandising standards and best practices.
• Maintain store appearance, ensuring cleanliness and organization of displays.
• Analyze sales data to identify effective display strategies and make data-driven adjustments.
• Create detailed mock-ups and presentation boards for proposed displays.
• Ensure lighting and fixture placement effectively showcase merchandise.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Visual Merchandiser or in a similar visual display role within the retail industry.
• Strong portfolio showcasing creative and effective retail displays.
• Excellent understanding of design principles, color theory, and spatial arrangement.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
• Knowledge of current retail trends and consumer behavior.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hands-on experience with merchandising tools and techniques.
• A degree in Fine Arts, Design, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Flexibility to travel to different store locations as needed.
