Job Description

Our client, a reputable aviation services company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join their team in Mysuru, Karnataka, IN . This critical role ensures the airworthiness and operational readiness of a diverse fleet of aircraft. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience with heavy maintenance, line maintenance, and troubleshooting of various aircraft types. You will be responsible for performing complex inspections, repairs, and modifications in accordance with stringent safety and regulatory standards. This position demands meticulous attention to detail, a strong understanding of aviation mechanics, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. As a senior member of the team, you will also be expected to provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians. Responsibilities:

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft, including inspections, repairs, and overhauls. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system issues. Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and maintenance directives. Carry out component replacements, structural repairs, and modifications according to approved data. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with DGCA regulations, company policies, and safety standards. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance performed using the company's maintenance tracking system. Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance departments to resolve complex technical issues. Lead and mentor junior aircraft maintenance technicians, providing training and supervision. Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections as required. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring proper tool and equipment management. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in aircraft technology and maintenance practices. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department. Qualifications:

A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) certification or equivalent recognized aviation maintenance license. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician. Proven experience with heavy maintenance checks and line maintenance operations. Proficiency in troubleshooting complex aircraft systems (e.g., engines, avionics, landing gear, environmental control systems). Ability to read and interpret complex technical documentation and schematics. Strong understanding of aviation regulations and safety protocols. Excellent mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding, fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. A commitment to safety and quality excellence.
