In this role, you’ll own the SEO roadmap end-to-end—defining strategy, prioritization, and execution across content, technical SEO, and authority building. You’ll work closely with teams across Product, Tech, Content, and Performance Marketing to ensure SEO is fully integrated into our growth engine.
You’ll also play a key role in evolving how we work with SEO by leveraging automation and AI to improve efficiency and scale. This position is ideal for someone with deep SEO expertise, a strategic mindset, and a strong interest in the future of search and AI-driven workflows. You will also support and mentor junior team members, ensuring strong execution across initiatives.
This is a full-time role based in Arlington, Virginia.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Own and define the SEO strategy and roadmap, including prioritization based on impact vs. effort
- Set KPIs and track performance against business goals (traffic, revenue, and acquisition)
- Identify growth opportunities across content, technical SEO, and backlink authority
- Drive collaboration with Product and Tech teams to ensure SEO is embedded in development processes
- Lead keyword research and search intent analysis to guide content and optimization efforts
- Define and contribute to the content strategy in collaboration with the Content team
- Oversee on-page and off-page optimization, including link-building strategies and audits
- Proactively identify opportunities for new and improved content to drive rankings and growth
- Drive scalability through processes, automation, and AI-powered workflows
- Monitor performance and continuously optimize based on data and insights
- Stay up to date with SEO trends, algorithm changes, and best practices
- Mentor and support junior SEO team members
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 3+ years of experience working with SEO, preferably within e-commerce
- Strong experience in keyword research, on-page optimization, and content strategy
- Solid understanding of technical SEO, site structure, and link-building strategies
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, or similar
- Analytical mindset with the ability to connect SEO performance to business outcomes
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams
- Highly structured with a strong sense of ownership and execution
A BONUS IF YOU ALSO BRING
- Experience working with AI tools and automation in SEO workflows
- Experience in fast-growing or performance-driven e-commerce environments
- Previous experience mentoring or leading junior team members
- Familiarity with CMS platforms used in e-commerce
YOU WILL PROBABLY THRIVE HERE IF YOU
- Enjoy owning strategy while staying close to execution
- Are passionate about SEO and the evolving search landscape
- Like combining data, creativity, and technology to drive growth
- Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment
