Job Description

Location: Washington, DC Metro Area (DMV - DC, Maryland, Virginia)

Primary Work Location: 800 Independence Avenue SW, Washington, DC (or other client locations within the DMV area)

Work Schedule: Onsite 5 Days Per Week

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (High Likelihood of Conversion After 90 Days)

Clearance Requirement: Ability to Obtain and Maintain a Federal Public Trust Clearance (Active Public Trust Preferred)

Cloud & DevOps

  • Support and maintain cloud infrastructure hosted in AWS and/or Azure environments.
  • Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and/or Ansible.
  • Build and support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation processes.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployments across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and operational stability through proactive alerting and incident response.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term infrastructure improvements.

Credential Management & Identity Solutions

  • Provide engineering and operational support for Intercede MyID credential management platforms.
  • Support PKI infrastructures, certificate lifecycle management, and identity management systems.
  • Troubleshoot smart cards, authentication technologies, credentialing applications, middleware, and drivers.
  • Support HID credentialing technologies and authentication solutions.
  • Administer Windows Server environments supporting credential management systems.
  • Perform database administration activities associated with Intercede and related identity management solutions.

The Successful Applicant

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with Intercede MyID and credential management systems.
  • Experience supporting:
  • PKI environments
  • Certificate lifecycle management
  • HID credentialing solutions
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM) technologies
  • Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.
  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or other automation tools.
  • Strong Windows Server administration experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting authentication systems, smart cards, middleware, and credentialing software.
  • Experience performing database administration activities related to Intercede platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Federal Public Trust Clearance.
  • Experience supporting federal government environments.
  • Advanced Infrastructure as Code and cloud automation expertise.
  • Experience working in highly regulated or security-focused environments.
  • Master's degree in a related field.
