The DHS CISOD aims to provide a secure computing environment for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and ensure compliance with information security standards that are crucial for operational efficiency and public service delivery.

Leidos is actively seeking a motivated IV&V Compliance Analyst who will play a vital role in supporting DHS-wide adherence to federal information security laws and mandates. This position involves providing the necessary resources and guidance to assist Components in making strategic decisions regarding their security and risk management efforts in a collaborative atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

The CISOD commits to a 7-day response timeframe for reviewed V&V submissions.

  • Monitor compliance with IT commitment letters and report testing progress and outcomes.
  • Develop processes for selecting quality assurance items for both assessments and remediations, create and update checklists for QA, define responsibilities using a RACI chart, and enhance tracking mechanisms, including a Traceability Matrix and a CFO-designated review checklist for assessments and authorizations.
  • Contribute to Security Authorization Reviews by assessing Component System Security Plans (SSPs) to ensure thorough documentation of all relevant controls, allowing for easy comprehension and reporting to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to obtain a DHS Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; additional work experience may substitute for degree requirements.
  • Familiarity with DHS, DoDIIS, and IC tools, including reporting mechanisms standard for IV&V.
  • Capability to ensure alignment with DHS standards and established procedures.
  • A strong understanding of government and agency policies related to system documentation compliance, including FedRAMP, RMF, FISMA, FIPS-II, and NIST guidelines.
  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

At Leidos, we thrive on innovation, aiming to surpass conventional standards to meet the demands of our mission. We are looking for individuals who are ready to challenge norms and strive for excellence.
