Sibley Memorial Hospital is a non-profit, full service 318 bed acute care community hospital serving the Washington, DC area.Sibley offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopedic and skilled nursing inpatient services, as well as a 24-hour Emergency Department. Sibley’s campus is also home to Grand Oaks, an assisted living residence; a medical building with physician offices and ambulatory surgery and imaging centers; and the new patient tower with 200 spacious, private rooms.
The Clinical Technician (Constant Patient Observer) maintains a collaborative relationship with the Registered Nurse (RN) and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team. This non-certified role observes patients, provides basic nursing care, and maintains the patient environment in an outcome oriented, safe, therapeutic, compassionate, and cost-effective manner.
- Provides patient observation and reports observations to the RN
- Maintains patient safety.
- Provides personal care for patient including hygiene and physical comfort measures.
- Assists/feeds patients.
- Answers call lights promptly.
- Takes and records vital signs.
- Turns, moves lifts, ambulates and transports patient by wheelchair, stretcher or bed as needed within the hospital or for discharge.

Minimum Education and Experience:
- High school graduate or GED

Salary Range: Minimum 22.00/hour - Maximum 22.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
