QE - Mainframe Junior

We are looking for a Junior Quality Engineer with Mainframe experience to join a technology team in Toronto. You will support software quality across the delivery lifecycle through test planning, execution, and defect management.

What You'll Do

• Review requirements and design documents to identify test scenarios
• Create and execute manual and automated test cases
• Identify, document, and track defects using approved tools
• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing
• Support test automation development and maintenance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle

What You Bring

• Hands-on experience with Mainframe systems
• Understanding of software testing principles and the development lifecycle
• Experience with manual and automated test case creation and execution
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

Nice to have

• Experience with test automation frameworks
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies
• Exposure to banking or financial services environments

Work setup

• 12 month contract based in Toronto, ON
• Hybrid with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote per week
