Description

We are looking for an extensively experienced Senior GCP DevOps / CI/CD Engineer with 6-8 years of experience to design, build, maintain, and scale our production infrastructure. In this role, you will join an elite team of engineers dedicated to formulating automated solutions for intricate pipeline, deployment, and infrastructure challenges.

Your main focus will be driving full automation across our CI/CD pipelines, optimizing our Google Cloud environment via Terraform, and refining our microservice deployments in Kubernetes using Helm. We need a self-driven engineer who can seamlessly integrate DevSecOps and observability strategies into our current workflows, troubleshoot system-wide complexities, and champion engineering excellence in a fast-paced, collaborative ecosystem.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• Orchestration & Tools: Strong hands-on experience installing, configuring, and monitoring pipeline orchestrators (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions) and build tools.
• Cloud & Infrastructure Fluency: 6-8 years of deep cloud engineering experience; while we use GCP (App Engine, Firebase, BigQuery, Postgres), a strong structural understanding of matching core services (like AWS EC2, S3, GKE/EKS) is highly valued.
• Scripting & Tooling Mastery: Proficient in git workflows (and legacy SVN transitions) paired with strong prior scripting experience (e.g., Python, Bash, Node.js) to debug build setups.
• SysAdmin & Networking: Solid grasp of network essentials, system administration, and managing secure cloud topologies.
• Professional Attributes: Highly collaborative team player with excellent communication skills, capable of multitasking and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced, results-oriented agile environment.

Job responsibilities

• CI/CD Automation & Orchestration: Scale, improve, and fully automate continuous integration and testing tools. Establish guidelines, standards, and governance for our global CI systems.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Collaborate with the Platform Engineering team to build, troubleshoot, and fix standard Terraform templates across the cloud stack.
• Microservices Deployment: Manage containerized microservice deployments within Kubernetes clusters utilizing Helm charts.
• DevSecOps Integration: Embed security tools directly into the CI/CD pipeline, establishing quality gates and extracting actionable security metrics.
• Observability Setup: Implement and optimize monitoring, logging, and observability strategies for all software products across GCP.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with Product Development, QA, and Platform teams to ensure high reliability, smooth git workflows, and end-to-end delivery quality.
• Documentation: Write and preserve exhaustive documentation of infrastructure architecture, deployment processes, and pipeline workflows.
