Pharmacy Technician (Calls & Order Processing)

Trutina Pharmacy is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our high-volume customer service and prescription processing team. This role is focused on accurate prescription processing, refill coordination, and proactive patient communication within a fast-paced, team-based environment. This is not a retail insurance-billing role. The position is structured, phone-based, and process-driven.

Key Responsibilities

• Process incoming prescriptions and refill requests accurately and efficiently.
• Contact patients to verify repeat authorizations and confirm prescription details.
• Communicate with prescribers’ offices to clarify missing or incomplete information.
• Document all interactions clearly and thoroughly in the pharmacy system.
• Monitor and follow up on pending orders to ensure timely completion.
• Collaborate closely with pharmacists and team members to maintain workflow efficiency.
• Contribute positively to a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists as a Pharmacy Technician (required).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Confident and professional phone communication skills.
• Ability to manage high call volume and multiple active tasks.
• Organized, dependable, and responsive.
• A collaborative mindset and strong team spirit.
• This role requires strong multitasking ability and sustained attention to detail in a high-volume environment.
