Job Description

Trutina Pharmacy is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our high-volume customer service and prescription processing team. This role is focused on accurate prescription processing, refill coordination, and proactive patient communication within a fast-paced, team-based environment. This is not a retail insurance-billing role. The position is structured, phone-based, and process-driven.

Key Responsibilities

Process incoming prescriptions and refill requests accurately and efficiently.
Contact patients to verify repeat authorizations and confirm prescription details.
Communicate with prescribers’ offices to clarify missing or incomplete information.
Document all interactions clearly and thoroughly in the pharmacy system.
Monitor and follow up on pending orders to ensure timely completion.
Collaborate closely with pharmacists and team members to maintain workflow efficiency.
Contribute positively to a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

Registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists as a Pharmacy Technician (required).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Confident and professional phone communication skills.
Ability to manage high call volume and multiple active tasks.
Organized, dependable, and responsive.
A collaborative mindset and strong team spirit.
This role requires strong multitasking ability and sustained attention to detail in a high-volume environment.
