Role Overview:
You will play a critical role in driving new business pipeline and deepening engagement with key venue and agency accounts across the UK and EMEA. As a Senior Sales Development Representative for Venue Directory, youll serve as the first point of contact for many prospective customers, combining commercial acumen, curiosity, and product knowledge to create high-quality opportunities for the sales team. Additionally, you will help shape the outbound strategy, support campaign execution, and act as a role model within the SDR team by sharing best practices and contributing to a high-performance, high-integrity sales culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for prospective Venue Directory customers and partners, providing compelling insights and product information tailored to their business needs.
- Prospect and generate pipeline by identifying, engaging, and nurturing new contacts through phone, email, social, and other innovative outbound methods.
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads using structured discovery and probing techniques to understand requirements, buying centers, timelines, and fit.
- Manage and grow key accounts in partnership with senior sales colleagues, helping to strengthen relationships with C-level executives and other senior stakeholders.
- Drive attendance and engagement at Cvent and Venue Directory webinars, seminars, and online product demonstrations, ensuring prospects are well prepared and highly engaged.
- Support marketing campaigns by executing follow-up plays and sharing feedback from the field.
- Research accounts and contacts using internal tools and external sources to build targeted lists.
- Prepare high-quality materials including introductory decks, proposals, and summary notes that help advance opportunities through the sales cycle.
- Analyse and report on performance, pulling reports, interpreting data, and sharing insights on whats working across sequences, messaging, and segments.
- Partner closely with the senior sales team to help achieve new business and upsell quotas, collaborating on territory plans and account strategies.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 2+ years experience in B2B lead generation, sales development, or inside sales, ideally in technology, SaaS, hospitality, meetings & events, or related industries.
- Proven success in high-volume outbound prospecting, with strong cold-calling, email, and social selling skills.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong sense of initiative and personal leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve shared goals and contribute to collective success.
- High business acumen, ethics, and integrity, with a genuine focus on delivering value to prospects and customers.
- Talent for developing relationships over the phone and video, building rapport quickly and asking thoughtful, consultative questions.
