Tax Manager / Senior Tax Manager - Renewable Energy Solutions

This organization excels in managing the full lifecycle of its projects and is known for its innovative approach across various markets.

Position Overview

This is a strategic and highly impactful role that oversees the company's comprehensive tax function. The focus is on managing complex multi-entity tax matters rather than on preparation alone, providing a unique opportunity to take ownership and provide advisory services.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee federal, state, and local tax filings prepared by external providers, ensuring accuracy and compliance through diligent review and management of deliverables.
Act as the internal expert for renewable energy tax matters, including tax credits and compliance requirements unique to the industry.
Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to guarantee precise financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
Lead research initiatives on tax topics and interpret evolving regulatory guidance effectively.
Support executive decision-making by preparing detailed technical memos and providing strategic recommendations.
Nurture relationships with external advisors, including accounting firms and legal counsel, to ensure aligned tax strategies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA highly preferred).
5-8+ years of relevant tax experience, gained through public accounting and/or industry settings.
Proven expertise in federal, state, and local taxes within multi-entity environments.
Essential: Experience with renewable energy taxes, including ITC, PWA, FEOC, etc.
Familiarity with partnership structures and operations across multiple states.
Proven ability to work independently in a dynamic, research-intensive environment.
