Position Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Junior Accountant and play a key role in supporting essential accounting operations. This position is designed for an entry-level accounting professional eager to develop their skills in a collaborative environment while gaining exposure to general ledger activities, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and ensure accurate maintenance of accounting records.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies efficiently.
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger support as necessary.
• Contribute to month-end close and essential reporting tasks.
• Maintain comprehensive schedules and documentation for audits and internal reporting.
• Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes and reporting efficiency.
• Participate in ad hoc accounting projects as assigned to support the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
• Strong foundational knowledge in core operational accounting functions.
• CPA certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with major ERP systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Unanet, or Costpoint is preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and excellent organizational skills are mandatory.
• Detail-oriented with a strong willingness to learn and grow.

This full-time role is hybrid-based in Arlington, VA, providing the flexibility to balance in-office and remote work.
