Job Overview
A law firm seeks a highly qualified associate with a minimum of 4 years of experience to join the transactional side of its Copyright practice in Washington, D.C. This role focuses on advising leading technology, digital media, and content-driven companies on complex commercial transactions.
Duties
- Advise clients on complex, standalone commercial transactions, including licensing and data acquisition.
- Draft and negotiate sophisticated, bespoke commercial agreements.
- Engage in principal-side deal work in the music, entertainment, and content space.
- Provide strategic partnership agreements and dispute settlement advice.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a relevant legal practice.
- Substantial experience in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
- Experience in technology transactions or IP licensing preferred.
- Prior experience in entertainment, music, or media is a plus.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
- Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
