Job Overview
A law firm seeks a highly qualified Associate to join its Supreme Court and Appellate Practice in Washington, D.C. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-stakes appeals and key trial-court motions with a nationally recognized team.
Duties
- Collaborate with trial teams to frame and preserve issues for appeal.
- Prepare petitions for certiorari and craft merits and amicus briefs.
- Argue cases before the US Supreme Court and federal appellate courts.
- Handle complex litigation and dispositive motions in lower courts.
Requirements
- Completion of an appellate clerkship.
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Experience in appellate litigation at a firm or in government service preferred.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
- Admission to the bar in at least one US jurisdiction.
Skills
