Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Junior/Mid-Level Associate Attorney in Silver Spring, MD. The ideal candidate will support the firm's family law practice, focusing on contested divorce litigation and related matters.

Duties

• Draft legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
• Conduct legal research and draft discovery documents.
• Prepare written responses and documents for discovery.
• Conduct witness interviews and trial preparation.
• Prepare trial and deposition materials.
• Appear in court for motions hearings and trials.
• Assist with ADR and mediation processes.
• Support the Principal Attorney with client matters.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience in family law.
• Experience with contested divorce litigation preferred.
• Admitted to the D.C., VA, or MD Bars.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven problem-solving and creative solution skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

• Bar admission in D.C., VA, or MD.
