We accomplish this by bringing total clarity to business practices, leading with clinical approaches, and utilizing state-of-the-art technology.</p> <p>Join us in improving health care outcomes for all!&nbsp; <strong>We promise to do what’s right, always.</strong></p> <p><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p> <p>The Pricing Manager will be responsible for managing pricing and underwriting processes in support of business development efforts.&nbsp; They will have a thorough understanding of PBM pricing intricacies, financial modeling, and data analysis.&nbsp; The ideal candidate will have experience in development and execution of PBM competitive bidding, guarantee setting, rebate projections, ad-hoc analysis, and narrating pricing related responses.</p> <p><strong>What you will do:</strong></p> <p><strong>Underwriting Management: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop pricing and underwriting responses to bids and RFPs, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and alignment with business objectives</li> <li>Work closely with other relevant teams to prepare and submit bid responses, as well as support follow up questions, as needed</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Strategy Implementation: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Implement pricing strategies and underwriting policies in alignment with the company’s overall business objectives</li> <li>Analyze market trends, competitor pricing and industry dynamics to formulate effective pricing and underwriting approaches</li> <li>Translate the unique offerings of AffirmedRx into common industry terms</li> </ul> <p><strong>Pricing Analysis:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Conduct comprehensive pricing analyses to determine optimal pricing structures for pharmacy pricing model</li> <li>Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing pricing strategies and making recommendations for adjustment as needed</li> <li>Develop and/or incorporate rebate projections into overall pricing for bids and evaluate areas for future potential improvement</li> <li>Conduct precursor analyses (claims repricing, rebate forecasting, disruptions, savings projections) to be used in development of comprehensive pricing offers</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Market Research: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics that may impact pricing and underwriting</li> <li>Conduct market research to understand customer behavior, competitive landscapes, and emerging opportunities and incorporate into overall and bid specific strategies</li> </ul> <p><strong>RFP Support</strong></p> <ul> <li>Validate, edit, and draft narrative responses to financial and pricing related RFP questions</li> <li>Periodically review and update database responses to ensure consistency with evolving strategies and go to market messaging</li> </ul> <p><strong>Contract Negotiations:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with business development in negotiating pricing terms and conditions with clients</li> <li>Ensure contracts align with underwriting guidelines and pricing strategies</li> </ul> <p><strong>Communication:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Participate in pre-bid, finalist, and other sales meetings as the pricing SME helping to articulate AffirmedRx’s unique pricing model and guarantee structure to the market</li> <li>Communicate pricing and underwriting strategies, decisions, and updates to internal stakeholders</li> <li>Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis and market intelligence</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>What you need:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or economics</li> <li>5+ years of healthcare analytics experience including 3+ years in PBM industry</li> <li>Direct experience with PBM pricing/underwriting as part of bid submission, or financial modeling and evaluation of PBM bid submissions (e.g. consultant)</li> <li>Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization</li> <li>Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, internal and external</li> <li>Exceptional technical skills with the Microsoft Office suite</li> <li>Analytical and database programs (SQL, PowerBI, Python, etc) experience preferred</li> <li>Willingness and ability to travel (10%-20%)</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you get:</strong></p> <ul> <li>To impact industry change in the pharmacy benefits management space, while delivering the highest quality patient outcomes</li> <li>To work in a culture where people thrive because when OUR team thrives, OUR business thrives</li> <li>Competitive compensation, including health, dental, vision and other benefits</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Note:&nbsp; </strong></p> <p>AffirmedRx is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment.
