Resume Skills & Action Verb Generator

Enter your target role and get a curated list of skills and strong action verbs grounded in the role's family — no LLM, no signup.

Most resumes lose recruiters in two places: a thin skills section and weak, passive verbs. This tool fixes both. Enter your target role; we'll return 10-12 skills commonly listed for that role family plus 8-10 stronger action verbs to rewrite your bullets with. We never invent skills you don't have; the lists are grounded in what employers ask for, not in your specific background.

How it works

A few steps, no signup

  1. Step 1

Type your target role (e.g. 'Senior Data Analyst')

  2. Step 2

    Click Generate

  3. Step 3

Copy the skills and verbs you actually have or have used into your resume

When to use

The right moment

  • Refreshing your skills section before a new round of applications
  • Rewriting bullets that all start with 'Responsible for' or 'Worked on'
  • Switching role families and needing a starter checklist

Examples

What you'll get

Software Engineering role

Input: Senior Software Engineer

Output: 12 skills (JavaScript, Python, SQL, system design, …) + 10 verbs (Built, Shipped, Refactored, Optimized, …)

What this tool isn't

Honest limitations

  • We only return skills appropriate to the role's family, not to your specific background. Use the list as a checklist of what to add IF you have it — never copy items you can't back up.
  • If your role doesn't match a known family, we return a general fallback list. Refine your role for sharper output.

FAQ

Common questions

Are these skills tailored to me?

No. We return skills commonly listed for your role family. Use the list as a checklist — only add items you can genuinely back up. Never copy skills you don't have.

Why action verbs?

Bullets that begin with strong verbs (Built, Shipped, Reduced) read as outcomes. Bullets that begin with 'Responsible for' or 'Worked on' read as job descriptions. Recruiters scan for the former.

Does this use AI?

No. It's a deterministic lookup against a curated, transparent role-family dataset. Nothing leaves your browser.
