Senior Sales & Application Engineer – OEM Hydraulics

Location: Delhi / Gurgaon, India

Function: Sales & Marketing – OEM Sales (North India)

Industry: Hydraulics

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Sales & Application Engineering professional to drive OEM business growth across Northern India. The role requires a strong blend of strategic business development, application engineering expertise, customer relationship management, and commercial acumen within the hydraulics and industrial technology domain.

The ideal candidate should possess strong exposure to hydraulic systems, OEM sales management, application engineering, and end-to-end project execution for industrial technology products or capital equipment.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & OEM Sales

  • Develop and execute strategic business development initiatives to expand OEM business across Northern India.
  • Identify, engage, and develop new OEM customers in strategic market segments and niche application areas.
  • Drive profitable revenue growth through value-based selling and customer-centric solution development.
  • Manage and grow relationships with both existing and new OEM accounts.

Technical Sales & Application Engineering

  • Understand customer application requirements and provide optimized hydraulic solutions.
  • Lead technical discussions, application engineering activities, and product selection processes.
  • Coordinate product homologation, product engineering, and development activities through series production readiness.
  • Support customers in troubleshooting, technical clarifications, and solution implementation.

Commercial & Project Management

  • Manage complete sales lifecycle from enquiry generation to commercial closure and execution.
  • Handle techno-commercial negotiations, proposal preparation, costing coordination, and contract finalization.
  • Ensure effective project planning, execution tracking, and customer communication throughout project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with internal engineering, operations, and supply chain teams.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build strong professional relationships with key stakeholders across customer organizations.
  • Act as a trusted technical and commercial partner for OEM accounts.
  • Continuously monitor market trends, competition, and emerging business opportunities.

Mandatory Skills & CompetenciesTechnical & Functional Skills

  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, fluid power products, and application engineering.
  • Experience in OEM sales, industrial sales, or capital equipment sales.
  • Strong exposure to application engineering and technical solution selling.
  • Experience managing engineering processes through product development and production stages.
  • Understanding of product homologation and project execution processes.
  • Knowledge of industrial automation and hydraulic applications will be preferred.

  • MBA in Sales / Marketing preferred

Experience

  • 6–12 years of overall industry experience
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in:
  • Hydraulics
  • Fluid power
  • Industrial automation
  • Capital equipment
  • Industrial technology products
