OBJECTIVE:
The Software Engineer designs, develops, tests, and maintains software applications that support Kids Empire's operations and enhance the customer experience. This role partners with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and efficient technology solutions
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy web and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Service to develop business solutions.
- Maintain and improve POS systems, payment integrations, and eCommerce tools.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues.
- Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.
- Ensure applications are secure, scalable, and compliant with data privacy standards.
- Recommend technology improvements and support ongoing system enhancements.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in C#, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or similar languages.
- Experience with web frameworks (React, .NET, Angular, Node.js, etc.).
- Knowledge of SQL databases, REST APIs, and Git.
- Understanding of Agile development and software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) is preferred.
- Thrives in cross-functional settings, comfortable with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Eager to own impactful projects and work closely with leadership
- Values clarity, consistency, and having full ownership of key data projects
