Senior UX/UI Designer

Our client, a leading digital innovation firm based in **Washington, D.C., US**, is seeking a highly creative and experienced Senior UX/UI Designer to lead the design efforts for their next-generation digital products. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to shape user experiences that are both intuitive and impactful. You will be responsible for translating complex user needs and business requirements into elegant, user-centered designs across web and mobile platforms. The ideal candidate possesses a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in user research, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, and usability testing. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver exceptional user experiences that drive engagement and achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the design process from concept to execution, including user research, persona development, user journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity visual design. Create intuitive and engaging user interfaces for web and mobile applications. Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions. Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI kits to ensure consistency across products. Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define product requirements and user experience goals. Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders, articulating design rationale and incorporating feedback. Stay abreast of the latest UX/UI trends, best practices, and emerging technologies. Advocate for the user throughout the product development process. Mentor junior designers and contribute to the growth of the design team. Ensure designs are technically feasible and adhere to accessibility standards. Work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in UX/UI design, with a strong focus on digital products. A compelling portfolio showcasing a wide range of UX/UI design projects for web and mobile applications. Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision). Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and visual design. Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to translate complex concepts into simple, intuitive user experiences. Experience working in an Agile development environment. Familiarity with front-end development principles is a plus. Demonstrated ability to lead design initiatives and work independently in a remote setting.
