Senior Grant Writer & Philanthropy Advisor

Our client, a reputable charity organization, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Grant Writer & Philanthropy Advisor to join their team in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, IN . This pivotal role will be instrumental in securing essential funding through the development and submission of compelling grant proposals, as well as cultivating relationships with major donors and foundations. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in successful grant writing, a deep understanding of fundraising principles, and excellent communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Research and identify potential funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies that align with the organization's mission and programs. Write, edit, and finalize high-quality grant proposals, applications, and reports, ensuring they are clear, concise, persuasive, and meet all funder requirements. Develop and maintain a grants calendar, tracking deadlines and submission requirements for all pending and upcoming grant opportunities. Cultivate and manage relationships with current and prospective donors, including foundations, corporate partners, and major individual givers. Prepare materials for donor meetings, proposals, and presentations. Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information for grant proposals, including program details, budgets, and impact metrics. Monitor grant performance and ensure compliance with all grant stipulations, including reporting requirements. Assist in the development and implementation of the organization's overall fundraising strategy. Stay informed about trends and best practices in philanthropy and grant management. Maintain accurate donor and grant records in the CRM system. Provide guidance and support to other staff members involved in fundraising activities. Evaluate the success of fundraising efforts and provide recommendations for improvement. Represent the organization at fundraising events and network with potential supporters. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Public Relations, Non-profit Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of demonstrated experience in grant writing and fundraising, preferably within the non-profit sector. Proven success in securing grants from a variety of sources (foundations, government, corporations). Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives. Strong research skills to identify relevant funding opportunities. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in using grant research databases and fundraising CRM software. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple proposals and deadlines simultaneously. Understanding of non-profit financial management and budgeting principles. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
