Job Description
Our client, a leader in AI innovation located in Portland, Oregon, US , is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Principal Machine Learning Engineer to join their fully remote, cutting-edge team. This pivotal role involves designing, developing, and deploying advanced machine learning models and systems at scale. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and software engineering best practices. Responsibilities include leading the research and implementation of novel ML solutions, optimizing model performance, and ensuring the scalability and reliability of production ML pipelines. You will work with massive datasets, build robust data processing frameworks, and collaborate closely with data scientists and software engineers to integrate ML models into product offerings. A Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related quantitative field is required, along with significant professional experience. Expertise in programming languages such as Python, along with ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn, is essential. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and distributed computing technologies (Spark, Hadoop) is highly desirable. The Principal Machine Learning Engineer will mentor junior engineers, drive technical strategy, and contribute to the company's long-term AI vision. Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for tackling challenging, real-world problems with AI are crucial.
