Our client, a fast-paced and innovative software development firm, is seeking a highly talented Lead UX/UI Designer to spearhead their product design initiatives. This is a fully remote position, empowering you to contribute your creative vision and technical expertise from anywhere in Canada. Responsibilities
Lead the design process from concept to launch, encompassing user research, wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity visual design. Develop and maintain a consistent design language and style guide across all product interfaces. Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform design decisions. Create compelling user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes. Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into elegant design solutions. Mentor and guide junior UX/UI designers, fostering a collaborative and productive design environment. Champion user-centered design principles and advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle. Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in UX/UI design and emerging technologies. Present design concepts and solutions effectively to cross-functional teams and leadership. Contribute to the strategic direction of product design and innovation. Ensure designs are technically feasible and aligned with development capabilities. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in UX/UI design, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role. Proven portfolio showcasing exceptional UX/UI design work for web and mobile applications. Expertise in user research methodologies, usability testing, and information architecture. Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, or similar. Strong understanding of interaction design principles, visual design aesthetics, and accessibility standards. Experience leading design projects and mentoring other designers. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and articulate design rationale. Familiarity with agile development methodologies. Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment is highly desirable. Strong collaborative spirit and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
