Job Description
A company is looking for a Mortgage Loan Underwriter responsible for evaluating residential mortgage loan applications to determine creditworthiness and risk.
Key Responsibilities
Review mortgage loan applications and supporting documentation to assess borrower qualifications
Evaluate loans according to company, investor, and regulatory guidelines
Render loan decisions and maintain thorough documentation in loan files and systems
Required Qualifications
Strong understanding of mortgage underwriting guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, USDA, Jumbo)
Experience with FHA, VHA, and / or jumbo loans required
Proficient in Loan Origination Systems (e.g., Encompass, Blend) and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment
