Mortgage Underwriter with DE and VA Authority

A company is looking for a Mortgage Underwriter.

Key Responsibilities

Underwrite Conventional, FHA, VA, and state bond program loans for accuracy and compliance

Calculate income and summarize findings effectively

Review borrower credit history and collaborate with team members for timely underwriting decisions

Required Qualifications and Education

At least 5 years' experience as a mortgage underwriter

Direct Endorsement (DE) Certification preferred

Proficiency with DU and LP

Ability to underwrite various loan types including Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA

Strong understanding of credit and complex financial documents
