You Are

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Application Support Engineer to lead production support, monitoring, and reliability initiatives across enterprise applications.

The Opportunity

• Lead end-to-end application support across production and non-production environments.
• Design, implement, and optimize monitoring and ing solutions using Splunk and Grafana.
• Write complex SPL queries, create dashboards, s, and monitoring use cases in Splunk.
• Drive root cause analysis and provide advanced troubleshooting across application, middleware, and infrastructure layers.
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployments and operational stability.
• Support and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and Helm.

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

What You Need

• Experience Level: 10-12+ Years
• Strong hands-on experience with Splunk:
• Writing complex SPL queries
• Creating dashboards and s
• Building monitoring and observability use cases
• Expertise in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes, containerization concepts, and Helm charts.
• Experience with Grafana for visualizing metrics and building dashboards.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across:
• Application layer
• Middleware
• Infrastructure
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language:
• Python
• Shell
• Bash
• PowerShell
• Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Experience with observability tools such as:
• Prometheus
• ELK Stack
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools:
• Terraform
• Ansible
• Experience supporting microservices-based architectures.

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Canada-Remote

Compensation Range: $127,000-$159,000

Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They and their dependents residing in Canada are eligible for Supplemental Healthcare coverage, as well as Company-paid Employee Only basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year). They and their dependents residing in Canada are eligible for Supplemental Healthcare coverage, as well as Company-paid Employee Only basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.

Part-time regular and temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).

All Canadian employees who work in a province, territory or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
