Senior Accountant
Location: Germantown, MD (Hybrid – 1 day onsite per week)
Compensation: $90,000 - $115,000 base + 10% bonus + equity
About the Opportunity
Our client, a growing publicly traded healthcare company, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting team. This role will have a strong focus on inventory accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is technically strong, collaborative, and thrives in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory accounting activities, transactions, and reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Assist with international inventory and fulfillment transactions
- Support consignment inventory accounting and sales order approvals
- Partner on inventory costing and process improvement projects
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve accounting processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Inventory accounting experience within manufacturing, life sciences, medical device, or pharmaceutical environments preferred
- Public accounting experience (Big 4 or large regional firm) highly preferred
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
- Strong GAAP knowledge and advanced Excel skills
