About the Opportunity

A rapidly growing investment and real estate development platform is seeking an Accounting Operations Manager to lead and optimize accounting operations within a high-growth environment. This individual will play a critical role in overseeing accounts payable operations, enhancing internal controls, improving workflows, and supporting the continued scalability of the finance organization.

This position offers direct exposure to executive leadership, significant ownership over key accounting processes, and the opportunity to contribute to the growth of a well-capitalized organization operating within one of the fastest-growing sectors of commercial real estate.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities
• Supervise and mentor accounting support staff while helping scale the function as the organization grows
• Evaluate and improve accounting workflows, policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Manage vendor onboarding, payment processing, approval workflows, and disbursements
• Oversee 1099 preparation and compliance requirements
• Support ERP optimization initiatives and system enhancements
• Partner with accounting, finance, operations, and leadership teams to improve reporting and operational efficiency
• Assist with month-end close activities and AP-related reporting
• Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain strong internal controls
• Participate in special projects focused on process improvement and organizational growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited university
• 8+ years of accounting and/or accounts payable experience
• Prior supervisory or management experience required
• Experience operating within a multi-entity environment
• Strong understanding of accounting operations, vendor management, payment processing, and internal controls
• Proven experience driving process improvements and operational efficiencies
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Real estate, real estate development, construction, infrastructure, property management, or related industry experience
• Experience with Yardi or similar ERP platforms
• Background in accounting management, real estate accounting, or accounting operations leadership
• Exposure to project accounting, construction draws, or lien waiver processes
