The Role:
Join a high-impact data engineering group within a large-scale enterprise environment modernizing critical cloud data platforms.
Location: Reston, VA (Hybrid - 3 days/week)
What You’ll Do:
- Design and build scalable ETL pipelines across cloud and on-prem environments
- Develop and maintain data workflows using SAS, Python, and SQL
- Architect and optimize data solutions within AWS
- Integrate APIs and manage structured/unstructured data formats
- Lead code reviews and uphold architecture best practices
- Tune performance for large datasets and complex queries
- Collaborate in Agile ceremonies to deliver high-quality increments
Core Tech & Skills:
- SAS and Python development
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL expertise
- AWS (S3, Redshift, RDS, Glue, EMR, Lambda, Step Functions, ECS)
- Unix shell scripting
- Data warehousing and ETL design
- API development and integration
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab)
- Docker and cloud-native architectures
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $44.00 - $45.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
