Senior Accountant- Financial Services

On behalf of our client, a large financial services firm headquartered in Bethesda, we are looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a yearly compensation of up to $105,000 plus bonus based on experience. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days of in office availability. Ideal candidates will be able to start immediately.

Responsibilities

• Manage the month-end close process and process financial transactions
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
• Review and analyze monthly financial reports and budgets
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements
• Assist with month-end close process and month-end reconciliation process
• Assist with preparation of journal entries for all company accounts

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Financial services, loan accounting, or public accounting industry experience.
