Title: Senior Staff Accountant

Location: Bethesda, MD (hybrid)

Compensation:$80,000-85,000 per year

Our client, a wealth management and financial services firm, is looking to add a Senior Staff Accountant to their growing accounting department. This position goes into the client's Bethesda, MD office on a hybrid schedule. Successful incumbent will have a Bachelors Degree and 3-5 years of accounting experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Assist with month-end close process, including account reconciliations and variance analysis
• Record and maintain accurate journal entries to ensure integrity of the general ledger
• Support internal audits by providing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, including financial modeling and trend analysis
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited university (required)
• 3-5 years of accounting experience or an internship held in accounting (required)
