Senior/Lead Devops Engineer

As a Senior/Lead Devops Engineer at Nielsen, you will be working within an international group of teams responsible for creating and managing reference data from broadcast and streaming stations across the US and collecting data from meters in panelists' homes for Television audience measurement. Your role will involve improving the speed of delivery, enhancing code quality/security, and optimizing development processes. Here are the key responsibilities:

• Work closely with Tech Leads and developers to identify existing problems and propose process improvement solutions
• Proactively detect upcoming bottlenecks and production issues, providing hands-on consultation for technical solutions
• Participate in projects to enhance delivery time, code quality, and process efficiency
• Build coding standardizations, automate processes, and conduct daily tasks like environmental health checks and monitoring
• Maintain knowledge of platform configuration management, troubleshoot issues, and deploy application artifacts to target environments
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to deliver consistent solutions and address pain points in the coding and development process

Key Skills required for this role include:

• 6+ years of experience as a DevOps or SRE Engineer in an agile team
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Engineering
• Excellent coding and scripting skills (Bash, Python), experience with high-scale cloud architectures, and deployment automation solutions
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure), cluster management tools (Kubernetes, Docker), and continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Git)
• Experience in building, debugging, and operating systems, databases, and infrastructure at scale
