Manager-Media Relation & Client Servicing acts as a bridge between their employer or client and masses. They establish and maintain good-natured, cooperative relationships with the news media, consumers, government, local communities and other public-interest groups.
Manager-Media Relation & Client Servicing uses a wide range of media to build and sustain a good image for a company, organization or brand through planned publicity campaigns and PR activities. The goal is to drive sustainable growth to the PR Department and forging strong relationships with clients.
Desired experience: 3 to 4 Years
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Journalism or Mass Comm. or PR
The Basic requirements
- 3-4 years of experience in handling Chandigarh Media is a must
- Excellent communication skills
- PR and working in agency background will be preferred
- New Business process participation
- Pleasant personality
Job Responsibilities:
- Define the objectives and targets of PR department. Planning publicity strategies and campaigns
- Analyse and update with the trends in the industry
- Writing, editing and distributing news releases to target media
- Newspaper tracking and monitoring in defined timeline
- Dealing with enquiries and exploring from the media, press, and related organizations
- Speaking publicly at interviews, press conferences and presentations
- Providing clients with information about new promotional opportunities and current PR campaigns progress
- Organizing and attending promotional events such as open days, exhibitions, tours and visits. Analysing media coverages
- Commissioning or undertaking relevant market research
- Liaison with professional bodies, government authorities and trade associations
- Training & development of the PR Team
- Liaising with clients, managerial and journalistic staff about budgets, timescales and objectives
- Establishing good image of the organization in a periodic manner
- Conduct market intelligence and pulse the public opinion about the company to Senior Management
Job Requirements:
- Understand the requirement of the company, client and media
- Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing. Be a good Public Speaker. Content writing (provide samples, presentation skills)
- Creative & Initiative taker. Ability to prioritize and plan effectively. Think logically during crisis
- Awareness of different media agendas. Writing press releases, press briefings, etc.
- Organize and Manage news/press conferences. Deal with feature and regional media
- Be aware about the clients’ competitors and its presence and activities in the market
- Produce company’s newsletters
- Docket Management for each client on monthly basis
- Able to do strategic planning. Strong with ideation and story idea generation
- Creative & Initiative taker. Ability to prioritize and plan effectively. Think logically during crisis
- New Business process participation
- Excellent time management
Interview Process: HR interview followed by Department Head & Management
Salary Details: Up to Rs. 4.2 LPA – 5.4 LPA+ performance in the interview + conveyance
