STATS is looking for a full time QC Inspector/Technician to work in the shop with potential for some field work starting as soon as possible.
The QC Inspector/Technician – Canada is responsible for inspecting components, materials, and assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, purchase orders, applicable codes, and standards. the role also involves identifying and reporting non-conformances, supporting resolution activities, and assisting with the disassembly, evaluation, and assembly of tools and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Carry out project-specific quality control and assurance activities in accordance with the company quality system and direction from the operations manager
- Perform dimensional inspections of machined and fabricated parts using appropriate measurement techniques to ensure compliance with engineering drawings
- Review, witness, and monitor activities in line with approved inspection and test plans
ensure familiarity with requisition requirements and material and equipment specifications
- Participate in supplier and subcontractor audits and visits as required
report quality-related issues and performance concerns to the operations manager
maintain and retain quality records in accordance with company, client, and regulatory
- Support supplier and subcontractor evaluation processes and monitor performance
maintain inspection and measurement equipment, ensuring calibration is current
coordinate goods in and goods out processes, ensuring full traceability of materials and components
- Ensure all drawings, procedures, and instructions are current prior to work commencing
- Assist with asset maintenance, storage, and preparation for work scopes
support the disassembly, rebuild, and new build of tooling while maintaining traceability and quality standards
- Report environmental, health, and safety issues as they arise
work safely at all times to protect employees, clients, and equipment
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in inspection, measurement, testing, and verification
mechanical trade background with a strong understanding of oilfield equipment, machining, welding, and pressure testing
- Knowledge of document control and material traceability processes
ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical terminology
- Experience with fabrication, assembly, and pressure testing equipment
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes
- Strong attention to detail and methodical approach to work
- Computer literacy and ability to use inspection tools and equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as asme b31.x, csa z662, and asme
- Flexibility to support shift work as required
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills

- Report all incidents, near misses, hazards, and unsafe conditions immediately
