We are seeking an experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper / Reviewer who can independently manage client books, review team outputs, and act as a reliable financial partner for U.S. clients.

Role Overview

This is a senior, client-facing role that combines hands-on accounting, quality review, and client advisory responsibilities. You will be responsible for maintaining high-quality financial records, reviewing work prepared by junior accountants, ensuring compliance with U.S. accounting standards, and providing meaningful financial insights to clients.

You will work closely with U.S. clients, internal teams, and external CPAs, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency across all deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

Core Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Manage end-to-end bookkeeping for U.S. clients using QuickBooks Online and Xero
  • Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including Bill.com workflows
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes
  • Complete bank, credit card, loan, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ensure books are audit-ready and organized for CPA handoff and tax filings

Reviewer Role & Quality Assurance

  • Review bookkeeping and accounting work completed by junior accountants
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP
  • Identify errors, inconsistencies, and process gaps; provide corrective guidance
  • Maintain documentation, checklists, and review notes for internal controls
  • Ensure timely delivery of reviewed reports without compromising quality
  • Mentor and support junior team members through feedback and best practices

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and review P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements
  • Analyze financial data and highlight key trends, variances, and risks
  • Maintain and update weekly cash flow plans and Excel-based financial models
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting requirements

Industry-Specific Accounting

  • E-commerce accounting (Amazon, Shopify, Stripe, PayPal, A2X integration)
  • Rental and property management accounting, including owner statements
  • Healthcare and law firm accounting with industry-specific compliance awareness
  • Capital and investment-related accounting workflows

Client Communication & Advisory

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned U.S. clients
  • Communicate financial results, insights, and action items clearly and confidently
  • Coordinate with external CPAs, tax advisors, and auditors
  • Advise clients on chart of accounts structure, expense categorization, and workflows
  • Recommend process improvements and cost-optimization opportunities

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (mandatory)
  • 4–10 years of experience working with U.S.-based clients
  • QuickBooks Online Certification & Xero Certification (mandatory)
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, sales tax, and CPA coordination
  • Hands-on experience with Bill.com, A2X, Excel, and reconciliation tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle multiple clients
