Skyview Ventures is a finance, development and asset management company that invests in renewable energy markets, projects and companies across North America. Skyview manages three operating subsidiaries to pursue investment opportunities in environmental attributes (RECs, carbon), solar project development, electric vehicle infrastructure, and other related fields.

Job Description

We are seeking an Execution Trader to join our Environmental Attributes team. The Execution Trader will be responsible for executing trades in North American environmental commodities markets on behalf of the Company. The ideal candidate will be a driven, competent self-starter with strong communication skills and experience trading RECs and SRECs. In this role, you will be working in a fast-paced trading environment with significant room for growth as our business continues to expand into new markets and products.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and accurately execute trades in multiple environmental commodities markets according to parameters and direction set by the Company
• Execute and manage orders for the Company across the entire trade lifecycle, from initiation through settlement
• Understand and lead compliance with Company enterprise risk management policies and limits across the trading book
• Stay on top of all market-related news and activity by speaking with brokers, market participants and internal resources
• Independently track regulatory, political and other events that impact our trading markets
• Support middle- and back-office functions by continuously seeking ways to improve our trade execution platforms and processes

Desired qualifications:

• BS/BA in business, engineering, finance, energy or related field
• Experience trading in compliance and voluntary REC markets, both OTC and futures
• Track record of closing REC business with a network of producers, compliance buyers, brokers and other market participants
• Ability to work independently to execute orders and manage positions with minimal oversight
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, webICE, nodal; familiarity with other trading and execution platforms a plus
