Process Engineer- R&D

Role Overview

Seeking an R&D Process Engineer with experience in composite manufacturing and process development for aerospace applications. The role involves process execution, material validation, testing, and cross-functional coordination for new product and process development.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and validate composite manufacturing processes including:
• Filament winding (roving, slit tape, tow prepreg)
• Prepreg lamination and curing process optimization
• Support new material validation for resins and prepregs
• Conduct operational trials and process improvement activities
• Evaluate composite test samples and identify defects
• Prepare trial reports, process documentation, and validation records
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and R&D teams for project execution

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to NPD/R&D in vacuum bagging or prepreg composite manufacturing
• Hands-on experience in filament winding processes
• Knowledge of resin formulation for CFRP composite manufacturing
• Awareness of composite testing standards and defect analysis

Qualification: M.Tech – Chemical / Plastics / Composites / Material Science Engineering
